Benefits
How long is the UAE Employment Visa valid for?
Employment visas are typically issued for two years (mainland) or three years (free zone), depending on your employer’s jurisdiction and the nature of your employment contract.
Can I change jobs while holding an employment visa?
Yes, you can switch employers after fulfilling your contract terms and receiving a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or formal release from your current employer. A new employment visa will be issued under the new sponsor.
What happens if my employment is terminated or my visa is cancelled?
You are usually granted a grace period of 30 days to either find a new employer, change your visa status, or exit the UAE to avoid fines. During this period, your residence remains legally valid.
